Some Rules For Human Living

By Bryon Zirker

You have received a body. You may not like it or you may love it
regardless it is yours for the rest of your life. Taking care of
it is your responsibility. How you care for your body or not can
make a huge difference in the quality of your life.

There will be life lessons. This is the school of living. You will
learn each day, lessons that must be learned. Opportunities will
arise that you may or may not grasp. These lessons and opportunities
may likely be different than what you expect them to be.

Mistakes do not exist- only lessons. Your growth is based on how
many lessons you can go through and learn from. This is the essence
of success.

Some lessons repeat until you finally learn from them. The same
lesson may come from different angles until it is learned. Once
the lesson is learned your perception and attitude changes. Now
you can move to the next lesson.

Lessons will always come, there is no end. All of life contains
lessons. You will be learning until your last breath is taken.

Do not be fooled by the old saying "the grass is greener over
there". When you go over there you will seek to find the next
"greener over there" and this can be an endless broken cycle.
There is no greener over there. The greenest is here, now.

People are likenesses of you. Loving or hating a thing about
someone usually means that you love or hate something about
you. Do not citicise others, ever. Look into why you feel
the way you do.

Your life is yours. How you live it is your business. The
tools and resources for living are within you. Using desire,
persistence and goal setting, there is no mountain you can
not climb. Success can be yours.

Striving to better yourself should be your main lifelong goal.
Try to learn something new each day. Say something nice to one
person each day. Smile at people. Do something for someone each
day. Give to charity, help people in need. Protect what is good
and right.

Pressing On

Persistence can not be replaced
and rises higher than:

Talent-The most common and abundant is
unsuccessful talent.

Genius-Genius unrewarded is legendary.

Education-This world is crawling with
educated derelicts.

Determination as well as Persistence=

Omnipotent.

Childrens Ten Commandments For Parents

1. My hands are small; please do not expect perfection
whenever I make my bed, draw, or throw a ball. My legs
are short; please slow down so that I can keep up with you.

2. My eyes have not seen the world as yours have; please
let me explore safely; do not restrict me unnecessarily.

3. Housework will always be there. I am only little for
such a short time-please take the time to explain things
to me about this wonderful world and do so willingly.

4. My feelings are tender; please be sensitive to my needs;
do not nag me all day long. (You would not want to be nagged
for your inquisitiveness). Treat me as you would like to be
treated.

5. I am a special gift; please treaure me as my Creator
intended you to do, holding me accountable for my actions,
giving me guidelines to live by and disciplining me in
a loving manner.

6. I need your encouragement, not just your praise to grow.
Please go easy on the criticism; you can criticize the things
I do without criticizing me.

7. Please give me the freedom to make decisions concerning
myself. Permit me to fail, so I can learn from my own mistakes.
Then someday I will be prepared to make the kind of decisions
life will require of me.

8. Please do not do things over for me. Somehow that makes
me feel that my efforts did not quite measure up to your
expectations. I know its hard, but please do not try to
compare me to my brother or sister.

9. Please do not be afraid to leave for a weekend together.
Children need a vacation from mom and dad, just as mom and
dad need a vacation from chidren. Besides its a great way
to show us that your marriage is very special.

10. Please set a good example for me to follow in all the
ways of life. I enjoy watching the things you do and want
to do them.
